PCI Channel 1 students join the local radio morning shows – PortageOnline.com [Video]

It’s a project undertaken by a mixture of volunteers and media students at PCI for over 5 years and it is known as PCI Channel 1. The channel is available through the social media platform YouTube and the crew is led by teacher Shane Sobkowich.

The channel consists of videos that showcase what is going on at the school and even around the community, things students may be interested in. Shooting the videos requires everything from being a host to camera and graphics work along with behind-the-scenes setup and technical work. Live events are also sometimes featured.

As many of these skills could transfer into the world of media, Mix 96, CFRY, Country 93 and PortageOnline love to get to know these students more and for the month of February you will be able to hear them Wednesday’s on the morning show.
