Coach Rob Pehura and three PCI Sea Lions swimmers competed at the ManSask championship last weekend. The team included Carson Pehura, Anika Dyck, and Jaden Knight, who represented their club in the four-day event.
Strong performances and medal wins
“It was a four-day competition. The kids went up on on a bus with the University of Manitoba and Manitoba Marlins. I came up after work on Thursday, and the kids swam really well. We earned five medals in total: a gold, two silver, and two bronze by Carson and Anika.”
Knight’s first major competition
Pehura noted it was Knight’s first time competing outside the province as a qualifier.
“She did well. Nerves hit her on some of the days, but she did have some really good solid swims. She had the best time in her 100 Free, but was close in a lot of her other races, due to just little mistakes, and things that she’d need to fix. …
