Pedestrian hit by vehicle in Oshawa, Ontario [Video]

A pedestrian is in serious condition in a Toronto trauma centre after being struck by a vehicle in north Oshawa Monday morning.

The pedestrian was hit just before 9:30 a.m. on Harmony Road, bring emergency personnel to the scene to transport the victim to hospital.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.

Harmony Road was closed in both directions between Rossland Road and Storie Avenue (south of Beatrice Avenue) for about two hours while police gathered investigation. It has since re-opened.
