A man is in hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a tour bus in Surrey, B.C.

At 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night, the pedestrian was struck by a tour bus while crossing at the intersection of King George Boulevard and 60th Avenue, Surrey Police Services said in a statement Thursday.

The man suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and is currently being treated in hospital.

“Early indications are that the pedestrian advanced off the sidewalk against the walk signal,” police said.

The bus driver was co-operative and stayed at the scene to help with the investigation, the statement added.
