LAKE FOREST, Ill. (WLS) — A man died after being struck by a train in the north suburbs, police said.
The incident happened at about 12:03 p.m. near Waukegan and Everett, according to Lake Forest police.

Police said that a a northbound Canadian Pacific Kansas City Southern freight train traveling from Bensenville, to Portage, Wisconsin struck a man.
The man died at the scene, police said he was 70-year-old.
No other information regarding the victim was available.
This railroad also shares service with the Metra Milwaukee District North and the Amtrak Hiawatha Lines.
Metra said its Milwaukee District North inbound and outbound trains were moving with extensive delays.
Everett Road between Telegraph and Waukegan (Rt 43) and Conway Road between Telegraph and Waukegan (Rt 43) were also closed as the investigation continued.
