PENDER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – A month-long investigation ended with an arrest on Friday.

Detectives with the Pender County Sheriff’s Office Vice/Narcotics Unit along with deputies with the office’s A.C.E. team initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle occupied by Nickolas Smith and Lindsey Young.

According to the press release, detectives seized over 32 grams of cocaine, 480 grams of marijuana, 95 grams of Psilocybin Mushrooms, 30 dosage units of Amphetamine, 5 handguns and $3,867 from the vehicle.

During the stop, it was confirmed that Smith had outstanding warrants in New Hanover and Brunswick counties.

A search warrant was executed for Young and Smith’s home and detectives found the following drugs:

  • 85 grams of Counterfeit Fentanyl pills
  • 104 grams of Cocaine, 42 grams of MDMA
  • 16 grams of Methamphetamine
  • 1471 grams of Marijuana
  • 693 grams of THC wax
  • 143 grams of Psilocybin Mushrooms
  • 26 dosage units of Amphetamine
  • 56 dosage units of Xanax
  • 2 handguns
