DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. — PennDOT announced on Jan. 31 that a small bridge on Tourist Park Road (Route 4006) in Halifax Township will be closed until further notice due to deterioration discovered in a recent inspection.
Located at the intersection with Middle Road, between Route 147 and Route 205, the work is expected to be completed in June of this year.
The Dauphin County Maintenance Organization is planning to replace the deteriorating structure with a large concrete pipe.
During construction, a detour is in place. Travelers heading west from the east (Route 225) side of the closure should take Route 225 (Armstrong Valley Road) south to Halifax Borough, turn left onto 4th Street, right onto Market Street right onto 2nd Street and continue straight onto Route 147 (River …
