Pickleball ‘Social Club’ expanding to Pickering, Ontario [Video]

Canada’s fastest growing sport is coming to the Shops at Pickering City Centre mall Saturday for the grand opening of Pickleplex Social Club.

The Pickering location will be the company’s second, part of a grand expansion that will see 23 new locations across Canada through a hybrid model of corporately owned and franchised locations.

Steven Fry, co-founder and president of Pickleplex Social Club, said the expansion plan is designed to meet the needs of the growing Pickleball community. “Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in Canada and we want to share our love of the game with players from coast to coast in a welcoming environment dedicated exclusively to pickleball,” he said. “Working with entrepreneurs and landlords across the country we believe we can help to grow the game in a uniquely Canadian way.”
