Kangaroos hopping along country roads, cows blocking major highways and a pig, not in a pen but on a Clarington roadway – it’s never a dull moment in the life of a police officer in Durham Region.

PC Weatherbee and PC Longo responded to a service call Saturday morning to rescue a pig in the road. Young Mr. Pig is now safe, the officers had a little fun and Durham Regional Police turned the adventure into a recruiting promotion.

“Each day is something different and you never know what adventure you’ll get into. If you’re interested in a career in policing, we would love to hear from you.”
