Waterloo Regional Police Service now believes shots fired into a Cambridge home was a targeted incident.

At least 11 shots rang out on Munch Avenue near Sekura Street on Wednesday around 2:30 a.m.

The shots were fired into the front of a home and the rear of nearby residences, but no one was hurt.

Although investigators were originally not sure if the incident was random, in an update on Friday morning, they said they now believe it was a targeted incident.

No arrests have been made so far as police continue to investigate.

Police have not provided a suspect description at this time.

The shooting happened approximately 500 metres away from the WRPS South Division police station.

Anyone with more information or surveillance footage of the incident is urged to contact police at 519-570-9777, extension 6370.
