At least 11 people have been killed and multiple others injured after a driver ploughed into a crowd at a street festival in Vancouver.
The suspect, who struck revellers in his Audi SUV shortly after 8pm local time, has been taken into custody, authorities confirmed.

Acting police chief Steve Rai called the incident a “senseless” and “heartbreaking” act of violence, adding that this is the “darkest day” in the Canadian city’s history.
