Police continue hunt for 3 skull-masked suspects and getaway car after bank robbery in Ontario [Video]

Police are continuing their search for three suspects following an armed bank robbery at a bank in Wainfleet, Ontario last month, with new details about the vehicle believed to have been involved.

Niagara Regional Police say officers responded to the Meridian Credit Union branch on Highway 3 around 4:30 p.m. on May 29, following reports of an armed robbery.

Three masked individuals entered the bank while brandishing weapons. One suspect was armed with a handgun, while another carried an edged weapon resembling a machete.

Investigators say the suspects fled the scene in a 2019 to 2021 white Honda Civic EX. The vehicle has tinted front windows and visible damage to the rear passenger-side quarter window.

The vehicle is believed to be last seen travelling northbound on Highway 3 and continuing along Regional Road 24 past Regional Road 27.
