Police are investigating a robbery that occured this afternoon in Guelph where suspects used hammers to break into a jewelry store.
Officers with the Guelph Police Service said that the incident took place at a jewelry store near Speedvale Avenue East and Stevenson Street North at 1:45 p.m. and involved four suspects.
The perpetrators used hammers to break through the front door of the business and to break through display cases to steal jewelry on-site, police said.

Nobody in the business sustained physical injuries during the incident according to police.
The suspects were dressed in dark clothing and masks and fled the scene in a black Acura sedan.
