Police are investigating a series of alleged thefts involving Pride flag thefts in southern Ontario.
Today the Oxford County detachment of the OPP issued a report highlighting the nature of these alleged incidents.
Earlier this week on Feb. 20, an unknown individual allegedly entered the backyard of a residence in Blandford-Blenheim Township (just outside of London) and stole a Pride flag off of a flagpole.
Police further indicated that last month, the same alleged individual went to the same residence on Jan. 24 and around the same window of time, stole the first initial Pride flag from the very same flag pole.
According to the OPP, this initial incident was not reported to local law enforcement.
Anyone with information about these two incidents, including potential video surveillance is asked to contact the Oxford OPP or send an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.
