Between May 25 and June 1, more than 18,000 Ontarians participated in a series of public polls covering key provincial issues, from where the next Costco should be built to concerns about car thefts, healthcare funding, affordability, and interest in the Royal Family.

The results paint a clear picture of growing frustration with safety and financial pressures, while also revealing divided opinions on local development, retail expansion, and national symbolism.

  • No – 87.2% (2,683)
  • Yes – 12.8% (393)

Analysis:This was the most decisive poll of the week. An overwhelming majority of voters believe that police and officials are falling short in tackling Ontario’s rising car theft epidemic. The strong result highlights public concern and dissatisfaction with current enforcement measures and political response.
