Native to Central and West Asia, pomegranate trees have found a special home in Xi’an. In 2023, following the China-Central Asia Summit in Xi’an, six pomegranate trees were planted by the leaders to symbolize the bond between China and Central Asia. Two years later, our reporter Yang Yan visited Xi’an to see how these branches of unity had grown.
