Popular Ontario tourist county joins modern social media world [Video]

Prince Edward County has taken another step into the modern social media world with the addition of an Instagram account.

A statement from the popular tourist county east of the GTA said it was “excited” to add another path for residents and businesses to receive “timely, relevant and accurate communications.”

“The new Instagram page is another way for the municipality to connect with the public online and reach people who may not be active on other social media platforms.”

The county already has Facebook, X and YouTube accounts and residents are now encouraged to visit and follow https://www.instagram.com/county.of.prince.edward/ where they can find information about municipal services and programs “as well as learn about ways to get involved in shaping Prince Edward County.”

The County Museums (@thecountymuseums) and the county’s Economic Development department (@pec_ecdev) are already on Instagram as are numerous local organizations and business, from the Picton Tattoo Club (pictontattooclub) and Picton …
