Parts of the Willamette Valley — Portland included — could see lows below freezing, but temperatures are expected to rise into the 40s each day.

PORTLAND, Ore. — With Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Jan. 20, many people will be taking part in outdoor events and community service projects to celebrate and honor his legacy.

The holiday weekend forecast looks to be dry and sunny from the coast to eastern Oregon. While some areas of the Willamette Valley — Portland included — could see lows below freezing, temperatures are expected to rise into the 40s each day.
