PUBLIC ALERT: High-risk child sex offender released in Ontario [Video]

The public is being alerted of a convicted high-risk sexual assault offender who has been released into the Oshawa community.

Durham Regional Police said the 45-year-old man has prior convictions for sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon, assault with a weapon, assault, robbery, possession of explosives, uttering threats and failing to comply with probation orders.

Keith Theodore Constantin, 45, who is currently residing in Oshawa, poses a significant risk to the community, “especially children,” said police.

Constantin was arrested by the Durham Offender Management Unit (OMU) for breaching current conditions, held for a bail hearing, and was released by the courts the following day.

Police will continue to monitor Constantin, who is also subject to electronic monitoring.

Constantin is also bound by an order of certain conditions under the Criminal Code of Canada, including:
