Questions Remain After Walmart Worker’s Mysterious Death In Bakery Oven [Video]

Questions surrounding the death of a 19-year-old Walmart employee found in a bakery oven remain unanswered as Canadian authorities continue their investigation.

Gursimran Kaur, an immigrant from India, was burned to death at the Walmart Bakery location at 6990 Mumford Road in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on October 19, according to a GoFundMe created by a Maritime Sikh Society executive.

Kaur and her mother had worked at Walmart for two years, organizers said. The mother became worried when she didn’t hear from or see her daughter around the store, unlike their usual check-ins. The mother eventually opened a walk-in oven to find her daughter’s “charred remains.”

Organizers shut down the GoFundMe on October 25 after raising over $139,800.

“We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has donated to support Gursimran Kaur’s family during this unimaginable time,” they wrote. “Your kindness and generosity have been a source of strength for the family as they navigate through this tragedy.”
