Quiet Sunday, plenty of snow Sunday night, frigid cold Monday [Video]

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) – A major cold front spanning from Northern Quebec all the way down to the Carolinas will enter Maine Sunday. Just behind it, snow from Kentucky and West Virginia will combine with Carolina moisture, bringing lots of snow for Sunday night. Snow will clear out Monday morning. Cold Canadian air is expected Monday and will continue until Thursday. A First Alert has been issued Monday through Wednesday due to the cold.

Today starts with more sunshine than clouds for most, although clouds are more prevalent Downeast and up North. Some patchy morning fog will burn off as the day progresses. Skies will be partly sunny for the middle portion of the day before clouds reenter closer to sunset. The cold front will enter Western Maine by midday and pass through the whole state by sunset.
