A 32-year-old man from Winnipeg has died following a two-vehicle crash on New Year’s Eve.

According to RCMP, officers responded to the crash at the intersection of Highway 1 and Settlers Road in the RM of Springfield at 6:35 p.m.

Investigators say a truck being driven by a man from Winnipeg was travelling north on Settlers Road when it entered the westbound lane of Highway 1 and was hit by an SUV heading west.

The 32-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the SUV, an 18-year-old woman from the RM of La Broquerie, suffered minor physical injuries.

RCMP continues to investigate.
