A re-developed long-term care home has opened in Kingston, bringing 192 beds – 42 of them brand new – to serve the area’s ageing population.
Extendicare Limestone Ridge (formerly Extendicare Kingston) will feature 150 redeveloped beds and 42 new beds, creating a 192-bed home in Kingston that is part of the Ontario government’s commitment to build 58,000 new and upgraded long-term care beds across the province,
“This opening is great news for residents of Kingston and is part of our plan to protect seniors and increase access to world-class care across our province,” said John Jordan, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Long-Term Care. “The opening of Extendicare Limestone Ridge marks an important milestone for the people of Kingston and the future residents who now have a new place to call home.”
