A batch of medication sold in Canada is recalled because it may contain foreign matter particles.
One lot of JAMP brand risperidone is recalled, according to a notice from Health Canada on Friday.
Risperidone is used to treat schizophrenia, bipolar disorder or irritability associated with autistic disorder.
The .25 mg tablets with the lot number ENN064001 are recalled, according to the notice. Anyone with this product should verify they have this lot number and then contact their doctor.
“Consult your healthcare provider prior to discontinuing use of the affected product, or for any health concerns,” the notice advises.
