More than 130,000 light bulbs that were sold in Canada have been recalled, officials say.
“The LED bulbs can overheat, posing a fire hazard,” Health Canada said in a notice.
The affected product is the Uberhaus brand 7W PAR20 LED light bulb with the model number SM PAR20-50W-ES, officials said.
The model number is written on the neck of the light bulb.
It has the UPC number 401573050070, which is on the packaging.
The company reported that 138,255 of the light bulbs were sold in Canada from January 2015 to March 2020, the notice said.
As of April 9, there have been two reports of the bulbs overheating in Canada, with no injuries reported, officials said.
“Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and return it to Rona to exchange it for a similar product,” Health Canada said.
