Certain coolers have been recalled in Canada amid reports of injuries, including fingertip amputations and bone fractures in the United States, officials say.

Health Canada said Thursday that it is expanding a recall involving coolers that was first announced in February to add additional models.

The notice said that the recall involves Igloo 90 Qt Flip & Tow Rolling Coolers that were manufactured before January 2024.

The full list of affected products can be found on the Government of Canada website.

“The tow handle of the coolers can pinch consumers’ fingertips against the cooler, posing fingertip amputation and crushing hazards,” the notice said.

The company has received four reports of minor injuries in Canada as of Wednesday, Health Canada said.

“In the United States, the company has received 78 reports of fingertip injuries, including 26 resulting in fingertip amputations, bone fractures, or lacerations since the recall was first announced in February 2025,” officials said.
