Thousands of plush toys have been recalled in Canada with officials advising individuals to dispose of them.
Health Canada said that the hard plastic eyes on the toys can detach, “posing a choking risk to young children.”
As of Wednesday, the company hadn’t received any reports of incidents or injuries in Canada, the notice said.
But consumers should “immediately stop using” them and throw them away, Health Canada said.
The affected products are Souvenir du Canada plush toys including a brown bear, white bear, black bear, and moose.
They have a red and white hat and sweater with “Canada” written on the front and a maple leaf symbol.
The brown bear has the item number 54110 and UPC number 772548541108; the white bear has the item number 54109 and UPC number 772548541092; the black bear’s item number is 54108 and UPC number is 772548541085; the moose item number is 54111 …
