The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is urging consumers not to consume or distribute certain food products linked to a possible health risk. The recall was triggered by a similar action in another country and is now part of an ongoing investigation by Canadian authorities.

According to a notice issued by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), Organic Traditions brand Jumbo Pumpkin Seeds have been recalled from stores across the country due to potential contamination with Salmonella.

The recall affects two package sizes—227 g and 454 g—with specific lot codes sold nationally. The CFIA says the recall was triggered by a similar action in another country and is part of an ongoing food safety investigation.

No illnesses linked to the products have been reported in Canada.
