GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Monday is Red Dress Day to honor murdered, missing, indigenous women.

According to the Department of Justice, Native American women face murder rates that are ten times higher than the national average.

The day encourages people to wear red to raise awareness of the issue.

Green Bay’s Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge lights are turning red Monday night.
