The Regina Police Service (RPS) has officially sworn in seven new recruits, including the twin sister of a RPS constable.

At the Swearing-In Ceremony on Thursday, Michelle Mamona explained her intention to join the police service.

“Being a police officer in my hometown has always been a dream of mine, and my sister Sara really inspired me to go for my dream as she thoroughly enjoys her job with the Regina Police Service,” she said.

The recruits will begin training next week at the Saskatchewan Police College and are expected to graduate May 30.
