Regina police: Two teens charged following firearm discharge [Video]

Regina police have charged two teens in connection with a firearm discharge over the weekend.

On Dec. 22, at around 3:30 p.m. police were dispatched to Higgins Bay, where officers observed two male youths fleeing the area on foot.

The two teens, aged 17 and 14, were arrested at a home on Oakview Drive. Ammunition was recovered during a search of the 17-year-old, while bear spray was found in the 14-year-old’s possession.

With help from the service’s canine unit, officers found a gun with ammunition in the area.

It is not believed anyone was injured in the firearm discharge. During the investigation however, officers discovered a 17-year-old female who was intoxicated and in breach of court ordered conditions.

She was also arrested and charged with one count of failing to comply.
