The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) announced hours for Regina’s Urgent Care Centre (UCC) during the holiday season.
The facility will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day and will be open from 8 a.m. from 4 p.m. on Boxing Day.
All other days, the centre will keep its regular hours from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Since opening in July, the UCC has treated more than 18,000 patients, which the province says has alleviated some of the ER pressures at Regina’s two hospitals.

In a statement, Health Minister Jeremy Cockrill says the government is committed to expanding this type of care to Saskatoon, Moose Jaw, Prince Albert, and North Battleford.
