Regina weather: Extreme cold warnings enter second day [Video]

Much of central and southern Saskatchewan, including Regina and Saskatoon, remain under an extreme cold warning Thursday morning.

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), extreme wind chill values of -40 C or colder will continue as a cold arctic air mass has settled over the province.

Overnight lows also dipped to -30 C or colder in many regions, ECCC said.

“Temperatures will begin to moderate in Saskatchewan this afternoon, and the extreme cold will end. But, expect the extreme cold to linger in Manitoba Thursday night into Friday morning,” ECCC said on its website Thursday morning.

By Friday temperatures are expected to reach around – 10 C in Regina, with a high of zero forecasted for Sunday on Thursday morning.
