The Washington state woman who allegedly shot and killed a Border Patrol agent in Vermont is due in federal court Monday, and a new report is shedding light on her background.A week after the fatal shooting of Border Patrol agent David “Chris” Maland, a report from the Seattle Police Department shows that 21-year-old Teresa Youngblut was reported missing by her parents back in May 2024.Seattle police said Youngblut’s parents called the police and expressed their concerns after they had not heard from their daughter for several days.The report said Youngblut said goodbye to her mother and moved out of the family’s home to live with a friend. She also changed her phone number. Both of her parents told police that her behavior had changed recently, and they believed that she was lying about where she was going and who she was seeing.
