A restaurant is temporarily closed for renovations following a failed health inspection where “significant” health risks were found in Caledon, according to Peel Public Health.

Records show the Balle Balle Heritage Farm at 13219 Chinguacousy Rd. in Caledon was inspected on March 3 where over a dozen health and safety violations were witnessed.

Peel Public Health says the infractions included failing to “keep potentially hazardous food out of the temperature danger zone,” had no “adequate number of handwashing stations that are conveniently accessible to food handlers,” and was non-compliant for obtaining “food from an approved source.”

It also found that the restaurant failed to have “at least one food handler/supervisor with valid food handler certification” on-site during every hour of operation.
