A store that is a favourite of the do-it-yourself crowd has found a new home.

Princess Auto, a Canadian-owned retailer that specializes in tools, equipment and hardware items, opened its first store in Burlington, Ontario, today (June 3).

The store is a favourite among people who work with their hands, according to Mike Kivell, Princess Auto’s Vice-President of Retail Operations for Ontario.

“At Princess Auto, we know that a workshop is a private sanctuary to build, dismantle and tinker the hours away,” said a message posted on the store’s website. “It’s your man cave, your lab, your corner of the world where you can be yourself. Where ideas go from scribbled notes to prototypes, and trial-and-error is just part of the game. It’s where your tools are your toys. We just happen to have what you need, including the toy box.”
