A Whitby retiree is more than $56,000 richer after winning a LOTTO 6.49 second prize in the April 2 draw.

Carolann Stevenson is celebrating her first big win after playing a variety of lottery games with OLG for decades. “It was a regular day at home when I discovered I’d won,” Stevenson said while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim her winnings. “Winning feels great, and I will continue to play. I had a ticket for last night’s draw too.”

Steveson’s jackpot was worth $56,005.50.

LOTTO 6/49 offers players a chance to win two multi-million dollar jackpots every Wednesday and Saturday, for the same $3 per play.

The Classic Draw offers a fixed $5 million jackpot for every draw, while the Gold Ball Draw guarantees a $1 million prize, or the growing jackpot that starts at $10 million and can exceed $60 million.
