Retirees in Canada panic as tariffs threaten savings nationwide [Video]

With tariffs in full swing, Canadian retirees are panicking about what will happen to their savings in a trade war.

A report by Bloom Finance, a Canadian organization that helps retirees manage money, showed how U.S. President Donald Trump’s imposed tariffs have potentially altered the retirement landscape.

According to the survey, nearly 90 per cent of retirees are concerned about how a trade war will impact stashed savings, with 31 per cent convinced that mass financial consequences are around the corner.

Beyond this general metric of anxiety, those just entering retirement are now forced to contend with a new economic playing field.
