Rock Hall of Famer to be arraigned on charges related to fatal collision [Video]

Former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer is scheduled to be arraigned on a misdemeanor manslaughter charge Thursday in connection with a fatal auto-pedestrian crash.

Klinghoffer, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee who has also worked with Pearl Jam and Jane’s Addiction, is charged with hitting and killing Israel Sanchez on Meridian Avenue near West Main Street in Alhambra on March 18.

Sanchez was walking in a crosswalk when he was struck by a GMC Yukon driven by Klinghoffer, the guitarist’s attorneys acknowledge. Video captured from a nearby security camera shows Klinghoffer immediately stopped his vehicle, got out and called 911.
