In a collaborative effort to strengthen disaster preparedness and response, the Association of Village Council Presidents (AVCP) is teaming up with the Alaska Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHS&EM) to host a Rural Resiliency Workshop in Bethel, Alaska this February.
Taking place from February 25–27, this three-day workshop will bring together representatives from 13 communities across the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta to learn essential disaster preparedness and response skills. The event will cover a wide range of topics, including disaster response strategies, oil spill response, shelter operations, and rural law enforcement.
