Ryan Reynolds takes a role in small-town Ontario politics [Video]

Actor Ryan Reynolds is advocating for an arena in Cobourg to be named after Grace Bowen, who died of bone cancer in 2015. Reynolds met Grace, centre, and her sister Kenzie in 2014 at a Canada’s Walk of Fame event.

Hollywood actors don’t often take a role in the local politics of small-town Ontario.

But Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds was so inspired by a young girl with cancer he met over a decade ago, he was willing to make an exception.
