Sandwich Street in Windsor open [Video]

One of Windsor’s main west-end streets has fully re-opened for the first time in six months.

A more than 2-kilometre stretch of Sandwich Street near the University of Windsor had been under construction since mid-June.

Crews were working on watermain repairs, followed by road reconstruction and street-scaping.

All detour signage and road closures were removed earlier this month though.

There are now new bicycle lanes with upgraded paving and sidewalks.
