Sara’s To Open For 47th Season Tuesday – Erie News Now [Video]

Sara’s Restaurant opens for its 47th season Tuesday morning.

The restaurant’s owner, Sean Candela, said staff at the restaurant have been preparing for about a week.

They’ve been hiring employees, checking equipment and making chili at the restaurant at Presque Isle State Park’s entrance.

Candela said this season should be similar to those past.

But something different this year is the trade war between the United States and several countries, including Canada. 

Some Canadians are reconsidering their trips to the United States because of it.

Candela said Sara’s gets some customers from Canada, but he’s not sure how many.

He’s not worried about a potential drop in business from Canadian customers. 

“If we can do the best at what we can control, that’s all we can do,” he said. “It does no good to worry about stuff like that. We have enough things that we have to do every day to do our job properly. So that’s what we …
