Saskatchewan RCMP say a 20-year-old Yorkton man is facing drug related charges after officers executed a search warrant of a home in the city on Wednesday.

The suspect was first arrested on Tuesday and RCMP found methamphetamine, cocaine, cash and evidence of drug trafficking inside his vehicle, a news release said.

The following day a home on Fietz Street in Yorkton was searched where police seized fentanyl along with more cocaine, meth, cash and other evidence of drug trafficking.

Police said in total officers seized nearly 1.5 kilograms of meth, 936.5 grams of cocaine, 133 grams of fentanyl and about $6,000 in cash.

The 20-year-old suspect was charged with one count each for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl, as well as possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

RCMP said the accused made his first court appearance on Thursday.
