Saskatchewan RCMP say woman’s death in weekend crash considered suspicious [Video]

Saskatchewan RCMP say they are now investigating a fatal motor vehicle incident and woman’s death on Dec. 5 as suspicious.

A a 50-year-old woman from Hudson Bay, Sask. was pronounced dead at the scene after RCMP say the vehicle she was in crashed into an embankment along Highway 9 after leaving the roadway.

According to an RCMP news release, investigation into the crash revealed that “suspicious circumstances” around the incident exist.

A man who was also in the vehicle was treated for injuries described by RCMP as non-life threatening.

RCMP did not say if any arrests have been made in connection to the investigation.

Hudson Bay, Sask. is about 345 kilometres northeast of Saskatoon.
