An especially chilly Sunday is forecasted for several regions across Saskatchewan – as extreme cold warnings come into effect.

The early morning hours of Sunday saw Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) issue warnings for the cities of Saskatoon, Prince Albert and their surrounding areas.

Temperatures in both cities are expected to reach minus 30 C – which will combine with light northerly winds to produce periods of wind chill exceeding minus 40 C.
