Saskatoon’s first baby of 2025 arrived just 19 minutes into the new year at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital.

Born at 12:19 a.m. on Jan. 1, Atticus Marcien Harper Vandale became Saskatoon’s first baby of 2025.

According to the Saskatchewan Health Authoriy (SHA), the baby weighed in at a healthy 6 pounds 13 ounces.

His parents, Angelique Zimmerman and Glen Vandale, are from Saskatoon and are all doing well, the SHA said.
