Queen’s House Retreat & Renewal Centre closed its doors this summer, after operating for more than six decades.
The retreat centre on Taylor Street West, run by a group of Catholic priests known as the “Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate,” hosted a variety of programs including spiritual and meditation retreats.
A statement on the Queen’s House’s website said Saskatoon’s RIVA Developments is expected to take ownership of the property, with potential plans of seniors’ housing, commercial and residential developments, and market housing.
Construction on the new development is expected to begin in 2025 or 2026, according to the statement.
The statement also outlined that the developer has partnered with Integrated Health Services to use the Queen’s House facility as a family treatment centre.
