BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY SATURDAY: The chance for scattered storms will be increasing over the next few days. However, there will be an increasing risk for strong to severe storms to drop in from the northwest on Saturday.
We have declared Saturday a First Alert Weather for the risk of damaging straight-line winds, quarter-sized hail or greater, and intense cloud to ground lightning. The storms on Saturday could have an impact on storm coverage Sunday, although guidance shows favorable conditions for storms again on Sunday. It won’t rain the entire weekend, but make sure you are weather alert for the storm risk.
