School bus involved in accident in Fort St. John [Video]

FORT ST. JOHN –A collision in Fort St. John involving a school bus backed up traffic Thursday morning.

According to police, a school bus was making a left turn from 100 Avenue onto 102 Street when the light turned red. An on-coming vehicle then collided with the bus.

It’s been reported that there were no students on the bus because the collision occurred when the bus was returning after the start of school.

According to School District 60, the driver of the bus was not injured. There is no report yet on the status of the driver of the car.

There will be a safety inspection performed on the bus before it is allowed back on the road.
